Accreditation & Awards

St. Joseph's General Hospital is an accredited hospital in accordance with Accreditation Canada.

From October 2010 to May 2011 the hospital briefly lost its accreditation. However, having fully met all of the Accreditation Canada criteria of a Focused Visit on April 18-20, 2011, the hospital regained "Accreditation with Condition" status. "Condition" is the submission of additional information by November 2011, which will be an integral part of the hospital’s continued focus on safety and quality initiatives.

Below is a report of the Focused Visit of April 18-20. St. Joseph’s next Accreditation Survey will be in October 2013.
