WHAT'S NEEDED?

St. Joseph's Hospital General Hospital provides services in so many areas. Thanks, in no small part, to terrific community support we have a hospital we can rely on and be proud of. Never doubt that your donations have a tremendous impact on the care provided to you, your families and your neighbours.

As our population increases, so does the demand for services and updated equipment for the Hospital. Following are just a few of the items from the Hospital’s Wish List that the Foundation will be fundraising for in the coming months:

• ECG Machine ($21,760) - Screens cardiac abnormalities
• Double-head microscope and camera ($27,000) - For laboratory procedures
• Servo-I Ventilator and Accessories ($70,000) - Electronically ventilates patients who are unable to breathe independently
• 31 vital sign monitors - Measures patients vital signs
• Two Hydraulic IV Poles ($8,000) - Administer fluids and medication
• Two overnight stretchers ($12,250) - For Ambulatory Care patients
• 17 Go-Beds ($102,000) - Portable beds for medical/surgical patients
• Two cameras with double heads ($38,000) - For urology procedures
• Blanket Warmer ($10,000) - Warms blankets for OR patients
• Saw Reamer/Drill ($30,000) - For orthopaedic procedures
• Cutter/Sealer Device ($2,000) - For sterile processing
• Syringe pump ($3,500) - For pumping and dispensing syringes in Diagnostic Imaging
• Drug Cart ($2,190) - For use in the Operating Room
