Patient Care Quality Office Patient Care Quality Office

On behalf of the Owner - the Diocese of Victoria, the Board of Directors, the Hospital Foundation, physicians, staff and volunteers, we wish to extend our warmest welcome.

St. Joseph's began in 1913, with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto, as an example of Christian virtues and traditions in the Healing Ministry of the Church. In 1989 the Sisters transferred ownership to the Diocese of Victoria - a Corporation Sole.

Our Reflection

"Our distinctive vocation in Christian health care is not so much to heal better or more efficiently than anyone else; it is to bring comfort to people by giving them an experience that will strengthen their confidence in life. The ultimate goal of our care is to give those who are ill, through our care, a reason to hope."
    - Joseph Cardinal Bernadin
