TREE OF LIFE DONOR RECOGNITION PROGRAMOver the years, many individuals and organizations have contributed financially to St. Joseph's General Hospital, adding to the quality of care offered. To offer its benefactors permanent recognition, St. Joseph's, in 1988, reserved a feature wall in the main lobby for a Tree of Life donor sculpture. Designed by Mr. David Blamire, a Comox Valley artist, brass-colored leaves of the tree are engraved with the names and dedications of substantial donors. Organ donors are recognized by placement of a silver colored engraved leaf on the tree. The Tree of Life is your opportunity to honor a friend or relative, commemorate an event, or simply give thanks in a public way. It is also an opportunity for us to recognize donors who have given the Foundation a cumulative amount of $1,000 or more. For more information, call the Foundation office at 890-3046 or email us at
The Tree of Life stands 8' and stretches across an entire wall in our reception area incorporating personalized brass or silver coloured leaves which are available for your personal inscription.
